Logic 3 had several PSP products to show this year. One that caught my attention in particular was their PSP Sound Grip. This unit is a lightweight, high quality speaker that has its own power supply and (most importantly) has hand grips incorporated into its design. Basically, this makes holding your PSP feel more like holding a PS2 controller and less like holding a stack of index cards. The grip keeps your fingers where they need to be and let's you concentrate on playing the game rather than not dropping the PSP. The PSP Sound Grip also comes with a carrying case.
If you're looking for something more along the "mini theater" application, Logic 3's PSP Sound System may be of interest to you. This portable speaker system is designed to compliment the design of the PSP, has a pair of high quality neodymium speakers and a subwoofer, and can fold up for compact storage and increased portability. When in use, you fold out the subwoofer and slip your PSP into the area that the subwoofer had occupied. When it's docked in the PSP Sound System, you can control volume (up/down), power (on/off) and 3D surround sound (on/off) via controls on the face of the unit.
Jet-setters and others who travel a lot with their PSP's may be more interested in the PSP Travel Pack. This pack includes a carry case (with extra room for your PSP and UMDs), a car charger, a retractable USB Charger, a retractable USB data cable and retractable earphones. If you're really planning to be in the middle of nowhere, you may also want to get one of their PSP Solar Charger's. You can charge a PSP, Nintendo DS or GBA-SP without a power source. The unit has a built-in 1800mAh Lithium-ion battery. Cables to use with all three systems are included. The unit can be used in bright sun, cloudy conditions or even indoor lighting situations, and in bright sunlight the unit can fully recharge in 4 hours.
We'll have more detailed reviews of these products when we get some of them for in-house testing. Stay tuned for the full evaluations in the near future. |
